Time to Drop

26 August 2026

How long from putting files on to subscribers having them? That is the number we care about.

Most platforms optimize for dashboards that look busy: links created, products listed, GMV charts. Those numbers are easy to move and hard to connect to a buyer actually receiving work.

kickbck sells a monthly drop. The job finishes when the files are in the inbox, not when someone clicks Buy.

What we measure

Time to Drop is the span from upload to send. Open the drop. Put this month’s files on. Hit Send this month. Every active subscriber gets links by email. The shorter and calmer that loop, the better the product.

What we do not optimize yet

Discovery, trending drops, buyer profiles, a feed. All costumes. They matter after Time to Drop is boringly good.

If a feature does not make the drop easier to sell, easier to update, or easier to receive, it waits.

What this means in the UI

The dashboard is a folder, not a CMS. Month headers, drag-and-drop, one send button. No post editor. No community tab. No funnel builder.

When we add something, we ask: does this shrink the gap between file and inbox? If not, it goes on the list behind the list.
